The future of microfinance goes beyond traditional lending \u2014 new opportunities are emerging for the sector to play a broader role in the development of modern financial services in Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/b><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
This represents a new opportunity for the microcredit sector and its clients, as well as an important step forward for financial inclusion in Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/b> We would like to thank the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Finance of Republika Srpska, the Banking Agency of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBA), and the Banking Agency of Republika Srpska (ABRS)<\/b> for creating new opportunities for the microcredit sector and the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
During the second day of MicroBalkans 26<\/b> in Skopje, Halid Tvico, Head of the Oversight and Development of Payment Systems Department at the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/b>, joined the panel \u201cBuilding the Financial Framework: A Policy Dialogue.\u201d<\/b><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
A key focus of his contribution was the new regulatory framework for payment services and electronic money in Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/b>, and the opportunities it opens for microcredit organizations to take a more active role in the payments market.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
This development opens a new perspective for the sector \u2014 moving beyond traditional lending towards a broader range of digital and payment services<\/b>, while expanding access to financial services for individuals and small businesses.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
For AMFI BiH and its members<\/b>, this is an important step forward: the future of the sector is not only about adapting to regulatory change, but also about recognizing and responsibly using the new opportunities it creates.<\/div>
