The Association of Microcredit Organizations in BiH – AMFI is a community of microcredit organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The mission of the Association of Microcredit Organizations in BiH – AMFI is to reduce unemployment by encouraging and sustaining the development of the growing private sector in BiH through strengthening the capacities of its members, as well as by providing sustainable socio-financial services to the economically active population that has limited access to traditional financial institutions, with the goal of improving the material well-being of microcredit clients, supporting entrepreneurship development, creating new jobs, and increasing employment.
In addition, AMFI’s mission is to advocate for transparency and an active role of the microcredit sector at the state and regional level, and to promote the role of the sector in the economic development of BiH and Southeast Europe, all with the aim of reducing poverty, enhancing and promoting financial inclusion, and protecting the environment of microcredit sector clients.
The vision of the Association of Microcredit Organizations in BiH – AMFI is to establish a strong and recognizable network of microcredit institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina that will enable cooperation among its members and harness mutual synergy, promote professionalism and transparency in the sector in BiH and Southeast Europe, and represent the common interests of its members in working with other stakeholders in order to facilitate support and encourage collaboration towards a shared goal of combating social and economic exclusion, while strengthening trust in a financial system that works for people, communities, and the planet in a fair, responsible, and sustainable way.
