This high-level panel brought together partners from across Europe who regularly contribute to the Western Balkans region to discuss the enabling environment for social finance.
It addressed challenges and opportunities in regulatory harmonization, financial inclusion, payment systems, and EU accession alignment, with a focus on the role of microfinance and social economy actors in sustainable development and regional cooperation.
The discussion was further enriched by a question from Gabriele Giuglietti, President of Cresud and Head of International and Institutional Relations at Banca Popolare Etica, which sparked reflections on innovative financing models and stronger cooperation between financial institutions and communities.
This dialogue contributed to advancing inclusive finance standards in the region and was supported within broader EU cooperation frameworks.
