Ms. Elma Zukić, president of the Association of Microfinance Institutions in BiH (AMFI), and Ms. Mejra Juzbašić Bajgorić, regional director for South-East Europe at “Finance in Motion”, will be making opening remarks at the online conference titled “New Age for Microfinance Institutions in BiH” to be held on 18.11.2021 at 10:00 AM.
In her introductory presentation, Ms. Elma Zukić, AMFI president, will provide an overview of the importance and financial and social impact of microcredit organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the results achieved over the previous period. Also, she will speak about the importance of educating customers of the microcredit sector in BiH, possibilities of this sector to help the growth and development of the segment of micro and small companies in BiH, as well as about the current trends regarding digital transformation and eco inclusion in the microcredit sector.
Ms. Mejra Juzbašić Bajgorić, “Finance in Motion”, will briefly present the projects implemented so far within the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) and the Green Growth Fund (GGF), plus she will announce some new projects and project support plans aimed at digital transformation and ecology, as to protect the environment, increase energy efficiency rate and reduce greenhouse gases.
Ms. Elma Zukić is the president of the Association of Microfinance Institutions in BiH (AMFI) since mid-February 2019. She approached this much-responsible function with abundance of enthusiasm and energy to represent common interests of microcredit organizations in BiH. Ms. Zukić possesses twenty years of experience in the banking sector, working on different managing positions, including the one of the management board member in one bank. She had an opportunity to work in different banking sectors – from retail and corporate banking, marketing, IT, asset management, investment banking and treasury. This also extends to all types of operations, HR and legal affairs.
Ms. Mejra Juzbašić Bajgorić is the regional director for South-East Europe at “Finance in Motion”. This is one of the world’s largest investment management companies focusing solely on development financing. Ms. Bajgorić manages portfolios of investments and technical assistance throughout the Southeast Europe related to the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) and the Green Growth Fund (GGF). She holds more than 17 years of experience in banking and microfinance in the Southeast Europe, Caucasus, Middle East and North Africa.
