Association of Microfinance Institutions in BiH (AMFI) proudly announces achievement of its two members, MCF Partner from Tuzla and MCF EKI from Sarajevo, who are among the first five microcredit foundations worldwide who obtained prestigious certificate on client protection, part of the global project Smart Campaign, aimed at realization of client protection principles in the international microfinance industry.
This certificate is confirmation of successful business dealings of MCF Partner and MCF EKI, which put clients at the first place along with meeting the highest professional standards in the world.
“Microfinance institutions recognized the value of the certification process as a way to stand out and demonstrate its dedication to the clients. This process is also welcomed from foreign investors who are ready to use this process as a recommendation when deciding which microfinance institution in safe to invest in,” stated ‘Smart Campaign’ general manger, Isabelle Berrés.
This project, implemented by the AMFI in cooperation with International Finance Corporation (IFC), member of the World Bank group, encompassed several hundred finance institutions from whole world, where there is intention to introduce standards on client protection through meeting seven basic principles: appropriate product design and delivery, prevention of over-indebtedness, transparency and responsible pricing, appropriate policies and procedures for debt repayment, employees ethical behavior, mechanisms for complaint resolution and privacy of client data.
